Product Overview
The FZSW-20/8 composite post insulator has a rated voltage of 20 kV and a rated mechanical load of 8 kN, and is used as a busbar support or jumper support in substation installations.
The product is intended for substation installations. It offers excellent hydrophobicity, ageing resistance, tracking resistance and erosion resistance, together with very high tensile and bending strength. It features high mechanical strength, good impact, vibration and anti-brittle-fracture performance, and is light in weight and easy to install. Its top and bottom mounting dimensions are identical to those of the corresponding porcelain pin insulators, so the two can be used interchangeably. The product meets bending loads of 4-10 kN.The FZSW-20/8 composite post insulator has identical upper and lower fitting mounting dimensions, facilitating on-site replacement and installation.
Type Designation
In the type designation, F stands for composite insulation, Z for post-type construction, S for solid-core rod and W for anti-pollution type. The figure 20 before the slash indicates the rated voltage of 20 kV and the figure 8 after the slash the rated mechanical load of 8 kN. This model has a minimum nominal creepage distance of 920 mm, a structural height of 400 mm and a rated torsional load of 1.2 kN·m; with high mechanical strength and impact/vibration resistance, it is suited to busbar supports and equipment lead supports in 20 kV substations, with identical top and bottom mounting dimensions for interchangeability. With a rated torsional load of 1.2 kN·m and a shed diameter of 122/92 mm, the FZSW-20/8 composite post insulator is used for busbar support in 20 kV substations.

Notes: 1. The minimum nominal creepage distance varies slightly with product height. 2. The product height and upper/lower fitting dimensions can be selected from the table or supplied on request; 220 kV products can be single-unit or two-unit assemblies. 3. At present, 110 kV-220 kV composite rod post insulators are only suitable for busbar or jumper supports; use as isolator supports is subject to technical consultation.
