Product Overview
The JN2-40.5 indoor HV earthing switch is an indoor high-voltage apparatus designed in equivalence with IEC 129-84 “Disconnectors and Earthing Switches” and IEC 694-84 “Common Clauses for High-Voltage Switchgear and Controlgear”, and in accordance with the earthing-switch provisions of GB1985-89 “AC High-Voltage Disconnectors and Earthing Switches”. It is used in three-phase 50 Hz power systems of 35 kV and below, comes with a voltage monitoring device, and features a simple, reliable structure, low operating force and easy installation and commissioning. It is normally used in JYN1-40.5 and GFC-40.5 switchgear cubicles and can also be used standalone.

Structural Features
The operating system of this earthing switch is designed as a spring-stored-energy type with fast closing capability. On closing, the operating link drives the gear to close the main shaft; opening is similar. Different models of high-voltage live-display devices can be fitted, and the supporting insulators can be epoxy resin or DXN-type passive live-display devices.
Service Conditions
- Ambient air temperature: maximum +40℃; minimum -10℃ in ordinary areas and -25℃ in severe cold areas. Note: storage and transport permitted at -30℃;
- Altitude not exceeding 1000 m;
- Relative humidity: daily average not exceeding 95%, monthly average not exceeding 90%;
- Seismic intensity not exceeding 8 degrees;
- Locations without fire or explosion hazards, severe pollution, chemical corrosion or violent vibration.
- Note: if the service conditions exceed the above, they shall be agreed between the user and the manufacturer.
