The HRW11-12/200A silicone rubber drop-out fuse has a rated voltage of 12 kV and a rated current of 200 A, and is used for short-circuit and overload protection of distribution lines of 12 kV and below. Using silicone rubber insulators and weighing only 4.4 kg, the HRW11-12/200A is intended for distribution lines in 12 kV polluted areas.
Working Principle
The drop-out fuse is a short-circuit and overload protection device for distribution lines. Under normal operation the fuse tube is fixed on the static contact by trunnions; when an overload or short circuit occurs in the line, the fuse melts and the fuse tube falls under gravity, forming a clearly visible break that isolates the faulty line for inspection and fuse replacement.

Structure
- Arc extinguishing chamber;
- Parallel-groove connector: cast brass; even with inconsistent dimensions, connection is simple thanks to the 2 guide sleeves, and other connector types are also compatible;
- Link hook: for use with the switching operating rod;
- Fuse tube: fibreglass with a special UV-resistant coating; versions with an isolating-switch blade are available;
- Metal ferrule: cast red copper, pinned to the top and bottom of the fuse tube as a permanent connection;
- Collar joint: ensures reliable tripping;
- High-strength insulator;
- Trunnion sleeve: holds the fuse tube on the hinge when closed;
- Trunnion: high-strength cast bronze, silver-plated; the trunnion surface presses on the hinge surface, keeping the fuse tube aligned when closed.
